TLDR; Candy sweetness, watery ashy veggie peat and salty.
Nice scale; 82/100
Similar to the previous one, peated GlenAllachie but aged in Ex-Bourbon, PX and Oloroso Puncheon for at least 5 years before bottling at an ABV of 48%.
Meikle Toir 05 YO The Sherry One 48%
Nose: Candy sweetness, I felt it is slightly sweeter and has brighter sweetness compared to The Chinqupan One. Watery peatiness mixing with ashy burning paper smokiness. There are a bit of the saliva notes. Light spice and nuts are behind, and you have to pay a little more attention to find them. Super light sharpness on the nose.
Mouth: Ashy veggie peat, the peat somewhat reminds me of GlenDronach Highland Traditionally Peated. Honey sweetness and light numbness in the mouth and both wait for the saltiness to arrive. Oily in the mouth and rather light-bodied in the weight, which is perfectly fine for this super young-aged bottling.
Finish: Sweet, smokey and salty.
Similar to the previous, it is an easy sipper. Just when the flavours were in my mouth I felt there is something blank layer covering on top of them.
Nice scale: 82/100
