TLDR;
Salted caramel, vanilla and dried fruits.
Distilled at Benrinnes distillery in 2013 and aged in a hogshead before being transferred to a 1st Fill Tawny Port cask for a finish and bottled in 2023. Single cask bottling(#300746) with an undiluted cask strength of 57.8%.
Again, I wouldn't rate it as distributed by me.
Benrinnes 2013/2023 10YO 57.8%
Nose: Sticky sugar syrup, raw sunflower seeds with dried fruits, and some dry prunes in the nose. I am not sure if anyone has coined this term before; it does offer a plant's stem notes.
Mouth: Creams, decently thick creams. Salted caramel and vanilla, followed by nuts. The body is not like thanks to the worm tub.
Finish: Salted caramel, cream. There are actually malts and some soft, lofty bread expressions, too.
It is a pleasant experience, flavourful and isn't too raw and harsh for a 10-year-old.
