High-ABV bottlings always make me wet,
wet in the mouth.
Glenrothes 2009 13YO 60.4%
Nose: Sweet, sour plum, wet woods, and one moment, I did smell a quick flash of orange peels or some bright fruit. There are also malts hidden below the liquid. Do note at 60.4%; you need to let it breathe. The strong ABV can still be felt sometimes despite leaving it there for 1-2 months.
Mouth: Creamy, light sweetness, but soon comes the pepper. You do feel the weight of the liquid in the mouth-the richness, but pepper comes in too quickly and covers much of the other flavours that I believe have yet to express themselves.
Finish: Malty and peppery.
Nice scale: 83/100
