Nowadays, I rarely get turned on, but hey, this is 65.4%!
Craigellachie 2011 11YO 65.4%
Nose: Sour plum, hints of sweetness with malt hidden underneath and the smell of wet woods. (I can recommend you to dip a bit on the back of your hand and rub it, you will feel a more robust malt flavour)
Mouth: The entrance felt like a drip of honey, smooth and creamy. Bold in the mouth, then sweetness starts to express with peppery spice.
Finish: Like eating popcorn and some apples at the very, very last.
This 11 Year does surprise me; kind of well structured for its age, bold and not so young. Layers of flavour are expressed in the mouth. Fun fact, I added some water to clean the glass before going on to the next dram, and with water, it tastes like Milo.
