Clynelish 2006 15 YO 59.6% Connoisseurs Choice
Nose: Sweet ripe fruits and berries. Orange peels tag along with some spice and a bit of wet wood expression. Raisin and Hawthorn slices.
Mouth: Sweet (I still think it's more of a mango sweetness) and creamy, rather round, but then peppery notes enter too quickly during my first sip without letting it breathe. Cranberries notes were also expressed. Some mouthfeel texture reminds me of eating chocolate. The peppery remains throughout the journey.
Finish: Nutty and with the sweet expression of mango.
Let the liquid sit and breathe for a while; it will be more approachable. This whisky provides an interesting/ good/ value of money alternative to the somewhat 'unrealistic' pricing of Clynelish 12YO Special Release 2022. The after a feeling is like having mango sticky rice; damn, finally, I found the expression.

Toffee expression becomes stronger!
