TLDR;
Lemon, herb, smoky and peat.
Nice scale: 83/100

Big Peat Christmas 2022 (IB, Douglas Laing)
Nose: The lemon, barbeque and smokiness can be felt in the first inhale. Damp, damp sands with sea breeze and vanilla. Quite sharp on the nose, to be honest. Reminds me of much of a mix between Caol Ila and Bowmore.
Mouth: Wet soil-ish peats with some herby expressions. Round and smooth. Lemon pills, creamy vanilla and salty. There are light oak spice expressions. Oily and light sweetness towards the end.
Finish: Salty.
Overall, it is decent. This blend reminds me of an enhanced version of Caol Ila 12-year-old OB bottling with some mixture of Bowmore, not good nor bad.
Otherwise, this festive special release is an easy-drinking whisky that pretty much fits into what an easy, smooth lemony Islay whisky is like. And have it during Christmas.
