Aultmore 2006 13 YO 45.5% (IB, MOM-Master of Malt)

TLDR;

Creamy, soft and plain.

Nice scale: 75/100

Series NO.87, distilled at Aultmore distillery and aged in hogshead for 13 years before bottling at an ABV of 45.5%.

An outturn of 314 bottles.

I have been exploring MOM bottlings recently, I wouldn't say they create fantastic bottlings 75% of the time- or at least the ones I got, but they do offer a wide range of variety and mostly at an affordable price for you to try different distilleries. And one of the main reasons I'm writing these is to give you an alternative reference to the official tasting notes.

Nose: Seedless guava, those you can get at the fruit store, and they give you a small pack of sour plum powder. Vanilla and hints of mash. Simple and straightforward.

Mouth: Creamy and soft; not much flavour can be detected. Light and faint sweetness at the back, too plain.

Finish: Pepper

From nose to finish, it didn't take long. Quite monotone in the mouth, one-dimensional. Lacking flavours reminds me of the home isolation days. The nose did a good clickbait.

Nice scale: 75/100
